How much water should you drink in a day?
You should always take into account other factors, such as temperature, if you’re exercising, and if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, in which case you’ll probably need more. Water isn’t the only way to meet your hydration needs, vegetables, fruit, and unsweetened beverages also count. The easiest formula is to take your weight and divide it in half, the number you get is the amount of water, in ounces, you should consume each day. For example, if you weigh 140 pounds, you should be drinking about 70 ounces (or nine cups) of water a day.
Warm Water
It is feels good to drink a glass of cold water with a hot meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this “sludge” reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. In case of cold water, very soon this will turn into fats and lead to stomach and heart disease. It is better to drink Green Tea, Hot Herbal Tea or warm water after a meal. Warm water also removes toxins from our body more efficiently than Cold Water and keeps you healthy. Warm water with brisk walk will result in
- Weight loss
- Improve digestion
- Remove toxins
- Prevent clogging of arteries.
- Improve Skin and Complexion
The Chinese and Japanese have longer average life span; one factor off course is that they drink lot of hot herbal tea with their meals, not cold water. We must take adequate quantity of water with our daily diet(8-12 Glasses) to stay healthy and fit. May be it is time that we shall adopt their drinking habit while eating. There is nothing to lose, everything to gain.
